One card game that was introduced by Microsoft was solitaire. Spider solitaire came as a result of the main solitaire game. It seemed that the original solitaire was a bit too simple and people had mastered it quickly. Spider solitaire was a bit more challenging and that is what most people who play games like: a challenge! The evolution of the solitaire game has continued over time. As we speak, there are hundreds of different versions and variations of the spider solitaire game. Some of the versions include Crescent Solitaire, Mahjong Solitaire, Klondike Solitaire and many more. There was a research done on the popularity of games. As the saying goes 'practice makes perfect.'

Originally, spider solitaire was a 'free gift' from Microsoft. It was included as part of the games that came with the Microsoft Windows Operating System. However, due to the growing demand and popularity of the game, people started creating online versions. Since more people could have access to the internet as compared to the Microsoft Operating System, the game became a major hit online. What made it more popular are the features that were added to it. Online spider solitaire games have 3-D animation, great background tunes and wonderful effects. This cannot be compared to the earlier versions that came installed on operating systems.

If you search for some online forums that discuss about this game, you will find that there are debates going on as to which type of solitaire game is better. Is it the online ones or is it the one that is installed on the PC?

In terms of thrill and excitement, some people find that the online spider solitaire game outshines the ones installed on PCs. This is because of the 3-D animation, the graphics, the difficulty of levels and the wonderful tunes and music that come with the game.

In terms of levels, the solitaire games on PCs have only one level while the ones found online have increasing complexity in levels. Their reasoning is that people who play games love being challenged. The more complexity levels there are in the game, the more challenging the game becomes and the more thrill and excitement you experience.

It would be best if you tried both types of games and determine which one best works for you.
