Companions Guide For World of Warcraft

A considerable quantity of WoW pets and mounts do not have the necessity of siding with a particular faction. However, some WoW pets cannot be gotten in any other manner than by chance, like the Green Proto Drake that you get from the Mysterious Egg. The pets that are only achieved through luck are called rare drops.

Aside from faction alignment, some companions are also World of Warcraft companions whom do not have a requirement for any buying price. Not all WoW pets can be attained strictly through battling WoW enemies but, this can be really rare, and again, this is alone be based on luck thus there is formula covering method for attain them. A good quantity of World of Warcraft characters which can be considered experienced mount and pet collectors spend a good amount of time redoing identical quests and tasks over and over again in order to get the rare ones they need.

To begin with a common pet which is still known as rare, the Green-Winged Macaw can be gotten though a quest known as Deadmines run. Players obtained several Green Winged Macaws because these pets can be gotten approximately every one out of fifty times. It can really only be gained from fighting the Defias Pirates.

On the opposite end, some WoW pets are very rare and very hard to find. When a character goes to Stranglethorn Vale, a Hyacinth Macaw is only dropped 0.02% of every time, however, there are particular mobs which can be fought to collect the Hyacinth Macaw, such as Bloodsail Mages, Deckhands, Swashbucklers, and Warlocks.

Another example of a very rare pet although not quite as rare as the Hyacinth Macaw, that can be acquired by battling the Draconic Mageweavers, Draconic Magelords, Blue Dragonspawn, and Blue Scalebanes, is the Azure Whelpling. One needs to travel over to Azshara in order to find these enemies and possibly the Azure Whelping. A character needs to be pretty strong to fight these enemies because they are all level 50 to 54 elites, and really farming them is pretty arduous task in general.

Is it worth it? The Azure Whelpling has a drop rate of approximately 0.1% just like the Crimson Whelping found in the Red Whelps. Similarly, the Flamesnorting Whelping and Emerald Whelpling have these odds, and they are found in the Wetlands and Swamp of Sorrows respectively, but both of these pets are only like level 25. They are much easier to farm.

For the Horde members, the Sprite Darter Hatchling is another faction-specific drop more easily obtained by them, as it strictly comes from the Sprite Darters from Feralas which is friendly to the Alliance. The Sprite Darter Hatchling drops about 1 in every 1000 times. It is not impossible for Alliance characters to get it; they just have to complete a long series of level 48 quests.

One pet that has a more frequent drop rate, but is relatively difficult to attain is the Phoenix Hatchling. It has a 1 in 16 chance to appear as loot from Kael'thas Sunstrider in the Magister's Terrace instance. It can be achieved in the heroic and regular versions of the instance.

There are of course many other pets that can be acquired like the Green Proto Drake. The Green Proto Drake is achieved from the Mysterious Egg when siding with the Oracles in the Sholazar basin, but the drop rate is not yet known.
